Kombucha is a staple in this house.

My kombucha is made with a mix of green tea and other style teas such as Pukka’s wonderberry green or Hampstead’s rosehip and hibiscus, but there is always some green tea involved. And of course, each new batch is seeded with some “backslop” from one of my previous batches. The result is a unique-tasting, gently carbonated and refreshing drink, containing a complex community of bacteria and yeast and their by-products.

Follow my instructions (link below) and with the kombucha starter you receive, you can either drink your kombucha as it comes, or second ferment it using fruits and herbs to create a range of kombucha flavours. Hey presto, your fizzy, refreshing drinks will be supporting gut health rather than upsetting it.
